Promising studies were reported at the 25th congress of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in MS (ECTRIMS), held on 9-12 September 2009 in Düsseldorf, Germany, while data on a new treatment for chronic low back pain was presented at the 6th Triennial congress of the European Federation of Chapters (EFIC) of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), held on 9-12 September 2009 in Lisbon, Portugal.
